Start BOTTOM-UP – Design the process flow and working steps, links and dependencies
Start TOP-DOWN – Blue-print process landscape, by identifying your core processes and decide the most important support processes. Then select a process from the landscape to detail and continue with bottom-up design.
Understand and document what triggers the process, what the results are (i.e. where the process ends), what the inputs and outputs are, who the customers and suppliers are: either on process level (within the model attributes if you started bottom-up) or on landscape level (if you started top-down).
Define PROCESS KEY FACTS
Make sure you understand and document what triggers your process, what the results are (i.e. where the process ends), what the inputs and outputs are, who the customers and suppliers are: either on process level (within the model attributes if you started bottom-up) or on landscape level (if you started top-down).
Create Object Catalogue and select documents as inputs and outputs (ADONIS application)
Create a Process Notebook (ADONIS application)
Document the steps in the processes in “rich form”.
Create Task Notebook
Assign resources and responsibilities
Assign responsibilities and define resources. To assign responsibilities use the RACI concept and define the “Responsibility” attribute.
Select roles in the object catalogue to assign responsibilities (ADONIS application).
3. Validate & Translate
Validate models against best-practice rules, check them for correct BPMN syntax and confirm adherence to modelling guidelines (ADONIS application).
Working for an international/multi-national organisation and seeking to publish your process documentation in several languages?
Easily translate your modelled content using a translation wizard (ADONIS application).
Create Individual Dashboards (ADONIS application)
Process reader dashboards provide individual content for each employee based on his or her business roles and involvement in the processes.
Easy and intuitive access for company’s employees to explore processes in textual or graphical form.
Social BPM: give feedback and collaborate with colleagues using the collaboration stream.
